Warwick District Foodbank

Warwick District Foodbank are delighted to share that they have been awarded a £3,000 grant from The King Henry VIII Endowed Trust to support their Financial Inclusion Project in partnership with Citizens Advice South Warwickshire.

Every day, they meet people who are facing financial hardship, often due to a combination of issues including debt, benefit challenges, low income, housing difficulties, and the rising cost of living. While emergency food provides immediate relief, they know that long-term change comes from addressing the underlying causes of financial crisis.

This funding will help them to continue providing their service through Citizens Advice, enabling people referred to Warwick District Foodbank to access specialist advice and support alongside emergency food assistance.

As one client shared:-

“The support I’ve received from the food bank has been about much more than food. During a difficult period of homelessness, the Foodbank referred me to Citizens Advice and helped me access the support I needed. Thanks to that help, I’ve been able to take positive steps forward and begin rebuilding my life.”

Through this joined-up approach, local people can receive help to maximise their income, resolve debt issues, navigate benefits, and build greater financial stability for the future. By ensuring that people can access the right advice at the right time, they can help prevent future crises and support individuals and families towards greater financial resilience.

They wish to thank The King Henry VIII Endowed Trust for investing in this work and helping them move beyond crisis support towards lasting positive change for people across their communities.  This funding enables them to provide not only emergency food, but also hope, dignity, and practical support for a brighter future.
